Bincho-tan (び ん ち ょ う タ ン Binchotan) (Also Bincho-tan) is a mascot character, created by mangaka Takahito Ekusa (江 草 天 仁 Ekusa Takahito) And produced by the company to play Alchemist.
The name is a play on words: Binchotan ( 备 长 炭) is a type of coal, which is mainly used for cooking. However, -tan is a suffix created by the pronunciation of -chan. Dajare regarding this, the main casting is moe anthropomorphic representations of different types of coal.
An anime began airing in February 2006 which was produced by Studio Deen. Animax, which also broadcast all episodes within respective networks across Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia, translating and dubbing the series into English and other languages. The anime is set in Minabe, Wakayama, a place which is the largest producer of Binchotan charcoal in Japan.
